Art is unfinishable
Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, there was a little boy named Luke who loved to draw.
All of our masterpieces, ridiculous. All of our striving, unnecessary. All of our work, unfinished, unfinishable. We do too much, never enough, and are done before we’ve even started. It’s better this way.
By Kate Bowler in her book No Cure for Being Human
Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, there was a little boy named Luke who loved to draw.
He would spend hours and hours creating the most beautiful art that he ever could.
But here's the funny part - every time he finished a piece, his dog, Jawa, would come running and wag his tail so hard that he would accidentally knock over Luke’s art!
It was like all of Luke’s hard work vanished in an instant!
Luke would get frustrated at first, thinking, "Why does this always happen?"
But then he realized something: it was actually quite hilarious!
Every time Jawa ruined his drawing, they would burst into laughter together.
It became their special game - Luke would draw, and Jawa would "un-draw" it with his tail.
Instead of getting upset, Luke joined in on the fun! He pretended that Jawa’s tail was actually the rocket's boosters, making it fly higher and higher!
Luke realized that it didn't matter if his art were ruined because the fun and joy they brought were never-ending.
It's better this way because we learn to enjoy the journey, no matter where it takes us!
But I don’t suggest giving your art to your dog willingly, that’s on you! 🌚
