Data is the next gold
People don't want to take that leap to make a decision that they know is wrong, despite all the data they have in their hands.
Most people don’t even want to acknowledge that there are opinion-driven decisions or that they have to make them. Because if you follow your gut and your gut is wrong, then there’s nowhere else to cast blame. But if all you did was follow the data and you still failed, then clearly something else was wrong. Someone else screwed up.

They don't want to do that because it'll piss off their manager, and the same goes for the manager, and so on and so on.
When you make decisions based just on data, it feels like you don't want to take the blame when it fails.
The top 10 authors on Substack collectively make more than $20 million a year. But that doesn't mean that there is no room for more or that it's a dead game.
Some might argue that newsletters are dead. But if it's dead, then I want to make sure I try failing.
I wouldn't blame it on the data and not to say use it to even get out of an argument 😂
