Do you have loyal customers?
If you think you do, then you are wrong. And here's why.
Customers are loyal to nothing but their wallet.
By Guy Kawasaski in his book How to drive your competition crazy
You might think you have loyal customers, but let me burst your bubble.
That's right – when it comes to their hard-earned cash, customers aren't afraid to play the field.
Imagine you have a small coffee shop called "Brew-tiful Beans." You've got the coziest atmosphere, the smoothest espresso, and the friendliest baristas in town.
You think your customers are head over heels for Brew-tiful Beans, right?
Wrong! As soon as the new trendy coffee joint opens up down the street with a slightly lower price tag, your once-loyal customers will be brewing up some excuses to switch allegiances faster than you can say "double shot latte."
But hey, can you really blame them?
In this dog-eat-dog world of business, customers are always on the hunt for the best deal.
Loyalty? Ha! It's just a myth, a fairy tale we tell ourselves to sleep at night.
And sometimes this is completely wrong, and I really hope it's not the case for your business.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find a new favourite coffee shop.
There's a 2-for-1 deal on cappuccinos that's calling my name!
