“The mind is what the mind is fed.”
By David J. Schwartz in his book The Magic of Thinking Big
Imagine waking up every day with thoughts like:
“I have too much to do today”
“I won’t be able to finish all this work”
“I don’t have the energy for this”
“This is too much work for me”
I agree that some days we’re all allowed to feel this way.
But do it often enough and you’re training your mind for mediocrity.
If you give a 5 year old child a colouring book meant for 2 year olds, and then question their performance & creativity- is that fair?
Only when you let them play in the big leagues, can you assess their growth.
Teach them how to be great and then watch them exhibit greatness.
Same goes for your mind.
Restructure your thought process to sound more like this:
“I have a lot to do today, let me get started on it ASAP’
‘I might have to work late today but hard work always pays off”
“I’m low on energy today, but i can get everything done- one thing at a time”
“I am capable of doing everything i take on!”
Sounds insignificant but this slight cognitive restructuring is what will help your “toddler” reach their true potential.
The way it goes on is very relatable 😲🌟
