How we think
You know, those tasks that you don't feel like doing at all, even though they're a part of your everyday routine.
How we think is not the whole picture. Everything we do and don’t do influences our mood too. When you feel down, all you want to do is hide away. You don’t feel like doing any of the things you normally enjoy, and so you don’t.
By Julie Smith in her book Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?
Feeling low can be quite a challenge! It's like wanting to hide away from all your spreadsheets, emails, and zoom calls.
You know, those tasks that you don't feel like doing at all, even though they're a part of your everyday routine.
But here's the catch - when you disengage from those tasks for too long, it's like pouring salt on the wound.
You end up feeling even worse!
It's a bit like a never-ending loop. You avoid doing the things you need to do, and as a result, your mood takes a nosedive.
Just like when you're too busy to exercise. You feel tired and down, so work becomes the last thing you want to do.
And the longer you avoid work, the more lethargic and low on energy you feel.
It's like a black hole sucking away your productivity and joy.
