“When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but with creatures bristling with prejudice and motivated by pride and vanity.”
By Dale Carnegie in his book How to Win Friends and Influence People
I have been thinking about it and really want to address something.
Being successful and being dedicated or being a genuine person are two such different things??
There have been a few situations recently where I’ve been following a business closely- and the second I get in touch with the MD or founder to work out a partnership, my perception of the business completely changes.
And not in a good way.
It’s not like I haven’t had the opposite kind of experiences- but the recent ones have been BAD.
Where do we draw the line between how successful you are and what kind of a person you are?
Which one outweighs the other?
Does running a conventionally successful business mask the way you treat others?
I don’t know the general opinion on this, but I for sure know that what matters more to me is how someone makes me feel rather than how much money they make or how their success can be fruitful for me.
Am I missing something here?
Anyways, my rant aside- checkout this super cool book that teaches you how to make friends and be nice to others!
