“There is no such thing as moral phenomena, but only a moral interpretation of phenomena”
By Friedrich Nietzsche in his book Beyond Good and Evil
Warning: lot of philosophical bullshit coming up xD
So existentialism, as a philosophical perspective, asserts that individuals are fundamentally responsible for creating meaning in their lives in the face of an indifferent and often chaotic universe.
It says that morality is not an objective truth imposed upon us from external sources but rather a product of our individual choices and interpretations.
So, basically in a world devoid of absolute moral truths, we are confronted with the daunting task of navigating ethical complexities without clear guidelines or guarantees of success.
Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
Ofcourse this uncertainty can be both liberating and paralyzing, as it requires us to take full ownership of our moral agency and confront the inherent risks and uncertainties of ethical decision-making.
This worldview literally compels us to engage in a continual process of self-reflection and introspection, striving to align our actions with our deepest values and convictions in the face of an inherently ambiguous and uncertain world.
The rest is up to you.
You either fully immerse yourself in the process and carve your own path of right or wrong with buttloads of self introspection.
or just completely ignore the concept and do whatever you want to do without giving it a second thought xD
