“Never waste valuable time, or mental peace of mind, on the affairs of others—that is too high a price to pay.”
By Robert Greene in his book The 48 Laws of Power
This nugget of wisdom really struck a chord with me!
It got me thinking, you know? How often do we find ourselves wrapped up in other people's dramas, spending hours gossiping or trying to fix things that aren't ours to fix?
Too often, right?
But here's the thing: time is like this precious currency, and once it's gone, it's gone.
So why squander it on things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things?
And mental peace? Well, that's even more valuable.
Why let other people's problems and conflicts rent space in our heads, causing unnecessary stress and anxiety?
So, I guess what I'm saying is, let's be a bit more selfish with our time and mental energy.
Let's focus on the things that light us up inside, the things that truly make us happy and fulfilled. Because, hey, life's too short to be spent worrying about stuff that doesn't bring us any joy, right?
Absolutely - time is the most precious thing we have on this planet - using it wisely is our biggest challenge
